Sending a Little Hope & Positivity into the World
KeyChains of Hope is a project founded by Jake Tisler. Jake started KeyChains of Hope as a way to help survivors make their transition from a Safe Home, into their own, abuse-free home. He worked with his grandmother, an artist and survivor herself, to design the keychains, then recruited a group of caring students to help him assemble the keychains for distribution. The goal is to give survivors a little message of hope and positivity as they move to heal their trauma, and to let them know they are worthy and loved. In it's first year, the Keychains team assembled more than 130 keychains and distributed them to Safe Homes in NYC and CT. To date, Keychains of Hope has recruited nearly 100 volunteers to assemble and distribute 1,000 keychains in 7 states, with plans to deliver 2,000 keychains in at least 9 states by the end of 2024.
